Today, the Senate Armed Services Committee put a stop to a web site that was attempting to establish a terrorism “futures market” where people would basically bet on the likelihood of a terrorist attack. Kind of a Dead Pool for yourself. North Dakota’s Byron Dorgan rightly called it “unbelievably stupid.”

Well, thank goodness they put a stop to that atrocity. What kind of dark-hearted ghouls were responsible for such a travesty?

Who’s that, you say? The Pentagon?! An intelligence gathering technique, you say? Well, we are clearly in good hands. Maybe Kucinich was right* about that budget cut.

You’ll have to read the story. I can’t wrap my mind around it. In fact, this calls for a new category.

*(Please do not tell anyone I said this.)
