Okay, so I started perusing the USA Today link below in an effort to get some damned information out of these suits in New Hampshire. I picked an issue at random and had a look at where the candidates stood other than in front of a giant flag. My first shot was DC Representation. Below are the opening sentences of the frontrunners’ positions on this hot button issue.
Kerry:
It is fundamentally unfair and purely undemocratic not to provide taxpaying citizens with a voice in their government.Dean:
I find it fundamentally unfair that citizens of our nation’s capital are treated as second class citizens of the country.Clark:
I find it fundamentally unfair that the citizens of our nation’s capital have no vote in Congress.
The candidates all raise interesting points here, but I feel the need to point out that, in addition, DC’s lack of congressional representation is also fundamentally unfair to the citizens of our nation’s capital.
Jesus Christ.
I literally, as I was reading these, I literally clicked back and forth between Clark and Dean three times thinking that I had accidentally hit reload or clicked the same candidate twice.
