Another tidbit I wanted to clear out of my locker was the one piece of political advertising that I think sums up 2004 about as well as summing can be summed. For those of you not currently residing in the Gateway City: there were some propositions on the city ballot designed to change the charter and hopefully leave less room for corruption in city government. The side in favor of corruption responded somewhat unpredictably; the image below is a billboard that was put up in a predominantly black neighborhood by someone who never did willingly take responsibility for it.

Makes you proud, doesn’t it?
Oh, and the people who put up the billboard won. So, there’s some democracy in action for ya.
