I was going to wait until I was satisfied with everything and unleash a blogalanche, but since I’ll never be satisfied I might as well just go for it.

Submitted for your approval: a look back at the jobs and job hunts of 2004. Writing it all down gave me a chance to look back at all the things I never wanted to think about again and think about them a lot. Strangely, it took a long time to finish. As a look back, it is sprinkled with stories that some people may have heard (100 times) before, so my apologies in advance for that.

While reflecting, I came upon an old list of work-related grievances I had written down at the time and was pleased to realize I remembered very few of them happening. This is either a sign that I have learned to cope with problems and move on or that the warm blanket of senility has begun to enfold me at last.
