I can’t believe I haven’t read about this anywhere but… well, here:
A couple of days ago, I was reading this CBS News poll from last week. I had heard that the president’s approval rating was low, and boy howdy was it. At 37%, if the election were held today, I’m pretty sure he would lose to Nixon.
What I had not heard amid the usual clucking and gloating was one of the less frequently cited but significantly more hilarious questions in the poll. Why hilarious? Observe and
contrast the last two numbers.
U.S. MOST IMPORTANT PROBLEM
War in Iraq 18%
Economy and jobs 16%
Gas/oil crisis 5%
President Bush 5%
Terrorism 4%
If I’m reading this right, America is less worried about being blown up by Islamofascists than they are about being blown up by King Pretzelchoke.
Mind you- let’s be fair- they’re not saying George Bush is more evil than al Qaeda; they’re just saying he’s a more important problem than al Qaeda.
How’s Kerry lookin’ now, ya f***ers? Lookin’ pretty good now, I’ll bet!
