-Political candidates, car dealers, and radio advertisers everywhere: sure, remembering to mention your web site is important. But please, no more “visit our web site at ‘double-you double-you double-you dot,’” especially if you’ve already given out the address two or three times. Anybody who’s going to check it out already has a handle on that part, and already heard it the previous three times. You could be using those precious seconds to denigrate your competitors.

-Speaking of which– radio host, former drug czar, morality expert, and hypocritical gambling gambler who totally gambles Bill Bennett was taking potshots at CNN (a channel from which he also collects a regular paycheck) on his show yesterday:

On his radio program, Bill Bennett referred to CNN chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour as “Aman-bleakness” and accused her of trying to “get some bad news” out of the killing of Al Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. He also misrepresented a report by CNN Arab affairs correspondent Octavia Nasr, whom he called “Octavia Unhappiness Person.”

I find this offensive, not as an anti-war voter but as a smartass. Come on: “Christiane Aman-bleakness”? “Octavia Unhappiness Person”??? Do you not have a grade school playground full of better writers near your studio?

Octavia Nasty! Christiane Aman-dour! Ten seconds that took me. Better let Rush take it from here. And by “it,” I mean barrels and barrels of Oxycontin.
