Dear CNN,

Today, a small aircraft crashed smack dab into a building in Manhattan (which apparently is still pretty easy to do, so, awesome) and killed either 2 or 4 or 2 or 4 or 2 people. Wait, let me check your site again… 4 people. One of the people who flew the plane or helicopter or dirigible or plane into the building and died was a baseball player. He was famous.

And there were better pictures of him than this. A lot of them.

Yeah, that is what I took from the story. A baseball player died, in part, as a result of his choice to engage in a somewhat risky activity. Other people died as a result of sitting in their homes. I wish I knew their names, but they couldn’t throw a baseball fast enough to be important.

Plane Explodes Into Home Of Woman Knocked Out In Macy’s Parade

A Manhattan woman who was knocked into a coma by a lamppost during a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade years ago was thrust into the limelight again, when the plane of New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle crashed into her bedroom.

At least Kathleen Caronna was unhurt this time. But she, her husband and 9-year-old son — who was a baby at the time of the parade mishap — can’t go home for awhile.
