The new 100 ounce Wehrenbarrel is now available at the movie theater chain throughout the St. Louis area. The 100 ounce drink holder was designed to celebrate the theater chain’s 100th anniversary and is reportedly the only theater company nationwide selling the size. The Wehrenbarrel sells for $8.00 filled with your favorite soft drink. (UPI Photo/Bill Greenblatt)
Eight dollars, incidentally, is literally twice what it would cost to buy 100 ounces of soda from a vending machine. (That much soda would come out of a vending machine in eight and a half cans.)
But presumably refills are free.
The cup holders are out of the question. I guess you just drag it into the aisle and sit on it. The caffeine won’t kill you by itself, but as you sit in the theater and it occurs to you that you’re sitting on 1250 calories of Wild Cherry Pepsi, the resulting shock might be just enough to put you on the ground. Just hope you don’t topple the drink on top of you as you go, or they’ll never get to you in time.

St. Louis must be looking to take the crown of America’s Least Healthy City away from Philadelphia, or was it Houston?

I need to get one of these for work. I could start on the “100 oz. of water / 10 trips to the bathroom per day” diet.
